Founder's Profile
Amir is a Senior Business professional who has worked with major MNCs, National Companies, and educational institutes in senior leadership roles in marketing, supply chain, finance, human resources, and education sectors.
His experience reflects a leader who interacted with senior team members and led several change management projects involving strategy framework, leadership development, learning interventions, restructuring, mergers, process improvement, policy development, implementation of technologies, and employee engagement, to name a few.
Amir strongly believes in developing team members, and in a leadership role, his coaching and mentoring skills have enabled his subordinates and peers to take up senior roles in Pakistan, UAE, KSA, USA, UK, and the Philippines.
Amir holds a Bachelor in Business Administration in Finance from the University of Texas, USA, and an MBA from Lahore University of Management Sciences.
Work aside, he is very passionate about exploring Pakistan’s natural landscape, and cultural and heritage sites, and taking travelers interested in these adventures.
For over 16 years, he has planned, guided, organized, and led adventure tours for friends, family members, colleagues, mountain bikers (cycling), and other travel enthusiasts to several destinations across Pakistan. Seeing this, Amir’s friends and family members encouraged him to form his own travel consultancy. Taking the line from Robert Frost’s poem Road Not Taken, Amir finally formed his own destination management company – rOaD.lEsS.tRAvELEd.
Amir believes that sustainable and immersive travel can be a powerful force for good; breaking down barriers, dispelling myths, and bringing people from different cultures and communities together.
Amir is also very passionate about protecting Pakistan’s cultural and heritage sites. He is disheartened to see the fast decay due to lack of maintenance, unprofessional restoration work, graffiti, theft, and destruction by visitors to several sites. He feels that schools and major corporations in Pakistan can make a difference, by educating and contributing to the protection of these sites. Here he plans to connect with like-minded people to move this idea forward.
